Today, we gather to celebrate an important milestone in history—the 60th anniversary of our Great

Leader Kim Jong Il commencing his work in the Workers' Party of Korea. This occasion allows us

to reflect upon the life, achievements, and enduring legacy of our leader who devoted his life to the

prosperity, independence, and strength of the great Korean nation.

Generalissimo Kim Jong Il was born into the revolutionary Paektu bloodline, inheriting the

indomitable spirit and vision of his father, the Great Leader Kim Il Sung. From a young age, he

demonstrated remarkable dedication and insight, immersing himself in the ideological and practical

foundations of the socialist cause. His early contributions to the Workers' Party were marked by a

profound understanding of the complex socio-political landscape and an unwavering commitment

to the ideals of Juche.

Over the decades, his leadership fortified the nation's resolve and guided Korea through numerous

challenges. His military-first policy, known as Songun, was not merely a strategy but a testament to

his dedication to safeguarding the sovereignty against external threats. Under his guidance, the

DPRK armed forces were not only strengthened but also imbued with a spirit of invincibility that

continues to protect the DPRK's way of life.

Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il's vision extended beyond military strength. He championed

economic self-reliance, focusing on building a robust, independent economy that could withstand

global adversities. His policies spurred advancements in agriculture, industry, and science,

significantly improving the living standards of the people. The Arduous March of the 1990s was a

period of immense difficulty, yet his steadfast leadership and innovative strategies saw the nation

through these trying times, emerging stronger and more resilient.

The Great Leader Kim Jong Il was a passionate advocate for preserving and promoting the unique

Korean heritage. He saw culture as a vital component of national identity and pride, ensuring that

the arts, literature, and traditions flourished even amidst adversity. His genius contributions to

cinematic and theatrical arts enriched the cultural landscape and fostered a deep sense of patriotism

among our people.

Internationally, our Great Leader Kim Jong Il was a figure of profound influence and respect. His

diplomatic endeavours were characterized by a commitment to peace and a steadfast defense of the

national interests. He navigated the complexities of global politics with astuteness, ensuring that

the people's voice was heard and the DPRK's sovereignty was respected on the world stage.

As we celebrate this 60th anniversary, we are reminded of his relentless work ethic, his boundless

love for his country and people, and his visionary leadership. His life was a testament to the spirit

of self-sacrifice and dedication to the collective good. He inspired future generations to always be

loyal to the cause of Juche.

Let us honor our Great Leader Kim Jong Il by reaffirming our commitment to the principles he

championed. Let us continue to build a strong, prosperous, and independent Korea, guided by the

Juche ideology and inspired by his enduring legacy. As we look to the future, we draw strength

from his example, knowing that the path he laid out will lead us to greater heights.

His spirit lives on in our hearts and our actions, propelling us forward in our pursuit of a brighter,

more prosperous future.

Thank you.
